Model Discrimination for Hydrogen Peroxide Consumption towards γ-Alumina in Homogeneous Liquid and Heterogeneous Liquid-Liquid Systems

چکیده

The use of hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizing agent becomes increasingly important in chemistry. example vegetable oil epoxidation is excellent illustration the potential such agent. This reaction traditionally performed by Prileschajew oxidation, i.e., situ production percarboxylic acids. Drawbacks this approach are side reactions ring-opening and thermal runaway due to acid instability. One way overcome issue direct using γ-alumina. However, mechanism not elucidated: does decompose with alumina or oxidize hydroxyl groups at surface? kinetics consumption homogeneous liquid heterogeneous liquid-liquid systems was investigated reply question.
